Nameplate UK is a specialist print firm in Aldridge working with materials such as metals and vinyl, using methods such as screen printing, engraving, etching, stamping and digital print. We are looking for a motivated trainee interested in entering the sign making and specialist print trade, concentrating on screen printing as the main skill area.
Are you good with your hands with an eye for detail? Are you interested in the production process and working with different materials? This is an excellent chance to start in the print industry learning specialist skills with a small, friendly team hoping to grow their long term skilled workforce. Working with Walsall College, the apprentice would be working towards a Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Signmaking (QCF).
Candidates should be:
- Enthusiastic and committed to learning new skills.
- Good with their hands, with good attention to detail.
- Interest in design and production techniques.
Apprentices will be monitored and appraised throughout their training period. Trainees successful in their course who make good progress during their 12 month apprenticeship may be offered a full time role or Level 3 apprenticeship on completion, subject to business needs.
Established in 1996, Nameplate UK is a print company on Westgate Trading Estate, Aldridge, specialising in name plate manufacture and metal printing. They also offer an extensive range of screen printing, digital and component printing, etching, engraving, stamping and sublimation printing. Nameplate UK serves industries from transport to beverages and establishments from offices to schools. With a team of 8 staff, their standard and bespoke products range from signs and labels to metal invitations and promotional displays. This position involves working with the team in a factory environment and involves standing at various machines printing as directed.
Working hours are 8am – 5pm Mon – Thurs with 30 minute lunch break 8am – 2pm Friday.
33 days paid holiday including public holidays
